For Children
- Loose fitting clothes with solid colors are always suggested.
- Jeans, overalls, sun/slip dresses; khakis are classics and photograph well.
- Hats can also be very effective.
- Bare feet are especially fun and kids love it too.
- I also have on hand a few items such as dresses and tutus that you are welcome to incorporate into the session.
For Families
- Family photographs are special and for future generations to enjoy.
- Clothing choices are just as important for family sessions, as other sessions.
- I highly suggest clothing for each family member that has the same tone, not necessarily color.
- Bare feet are great for family sessions too!

- Bare skin is always a favorite.
- Keep in mind that too many clothes changes can make a baby fussy.

Do
- Wear solid colored clothing
- Long sleeves helps place emphasis on the subject’s face
- Wear classic styles of clothing (khaki or jeans)
- Wear similar styles and colors of clothing when two or more people are being photographed together
Don'ts
- Wear bright red or orange as it battles the subject's face for attention
- Wear shirts with patterns or logos
- Don't date your portrait with a trendy fashion
